Planning for my Real Techniques Miracle Face & Body Sponge commercial

Props

I decided to make a Real Techniques commercial. My main prop will be the Real Techniques Miracle Fane and Body sponge. Other props will be vanity and makeup brushes.

Costumes

I will be the only subject in the commercial. I will wear simple clothing. It will either be a solid color t-shirt with leggings or a long solid dress. I will also wear plain flats for shoes. My hair will be down but out of my face. Like makeup will be able to give off a natural effect.

Schedule

On 10/21/20, I will research the conventions of makeup commercials.

On 10/23/20, I will establish the props, costumes, schedules, set, location, and a backup plan.

On 10/25/20, I Will create a storyboard for the 30-second commercial.

On 10/27/20, I will film and record the necessary shots for my commercial.

0n 10/29/20, I will edit and add the final touches to the commercial.

Set

The set for the commercial will be on a vanity/flat surface. Blue walls and a blurred background.

Location

The location for the commercial will be in my room. I will be at my vanity recording the commercial with closeups, zooms, etc.

My second location will be in my living rooms on a flat light pink matt that will showcase the beauty sponge.

Backup plan

If my power goes out at my house, I will record the commercial in front of my house by trees. This will give the commercial a tropical feeling. I will also do the closeups on the concrete with a blurred background.

     My group and I began day two of filming today. We had intended on filming the vehicle and car crash scenes. We knew we had to film them strategically to ensure the safety of ourselves and our surroundings. Due to our scenes repeating, recording each part various times was crucial. We started by recording each part separately then compared them afterward. This made the process smoother since the entire scene was already set. This included the clothing, sets, and proper lighting. Much like the first day, we started to run into some problems. For the majority of our time, everything was running smoothly. However, the weather began to work against us. In some parts, the wind was too active which messed with the audio. Most of the dialogue was washed out so we couldn't really hear. Production Blog- Post Card

Due to my absence from school, my group stepped in to complete the postcard. A postcard is a physical or digital small form of advertisement. There is usually a front and back. The theme of the postcard usually matches the genre of the media. In our case: Mystery. The title of our short film is "Wednesday Drive." To get that point across to our viewers, we need to include a car of some sort onto the postcard. After a few website searches for the car in motion, we finally found the right one. The picture we used portrays a car driving fast. Due to the focus of the photo, you can sense the speed is above the speed limit. This plant's images in your mind of what is to come next. Will the driver into a car accident, will they get pulled over. Thus, leaving you wanting more. On the front of our postcard, we also include the showtimes, address, a QR code to the website, and our social media. Every important piece of information the audience may need is right on the card. A Level: Group Blog

Hi! Dru here. As you know, last year for my final task I chose to work alone. Due to covid and time conflicts. However, for my  A level final task I will be grouping up with 2 other people: S and Vanessa G. I am excited to be able to group up rather than work alone. This will help make the process a little easier. We all have different experiences and thoughts so the final product will be a reflection of that.  We plan on brainstorming first. Then, planning the rest of our events. Such as who is filming, acting, and editing. When we choose to meet and themes. I chose to work with these people because we already are comfortable with each other and are hard workers.
