Storyboard for my Real Techniques Miracle Face & Body Sponge commercial

Image
First Scene- During this scene, I will be filming the beauty sponge. This will be an extreme closeup tracking the main subject. It will be recorded as a handheld via my phone. The location of this sponge is on top of a vanity that contributes to the conventions of a makeup commercial. This will be recorded at a semi-high single. Second Scene-   Secondly, in this next scene, I will film myself holding the sponge before it is wet. This will be a closeup to keep the focus on the sponge and actress being shown in the shot. The location is in front of a bright blue wall. This cut will pan from left to right at a medium past. Third Scene- Next, in this scene, I wanted to include a 'Before & After' of the sponge. The before will be before it is soaked in water and the after will be once it is damp and soft. This scene is to show the contrast of the sponge and how big it expands once wet. This will be a close-up shot. Fourth Scene- Additionally, this scene will show the application

Research blog: Commercial Conventions

My Real Techniques lighting Miracle Face and Body sponge commercial falls under the category of makeup. In this type of commercials, the audience usually sees a person applying a product to their face or body. There is an assortment of conventions used in makeup commercials. For example, close-ups, pannings, great lighting, makeup, voiceovers, and vanities are some commons conventions.  The costumes are neutral and cool or warm town colors. There are no logos and usually include a t-shirt and some form of pants. Dresses are also commonly worn in these commercials. Costumes are lightly used in these commercials. This is because, with too much, the focus can shift from what you're supposed to actually be looking at to something unrelated. Props are heavily used in Real technique commercials. For instance, makeup brushes, sponges, eyeshadows, etc. Each prop is new and metallic which compliments each other. Other props may include household items such as a clear cup, flower, or jar. Th
